I woke up this morning and realized that exactly one year ago today we found out we were going to have a baby! I can't believe how fast time flies. Our lives are so different now than a year ago, but I embrace it and can't imagine it being any different than it is today. I will never forget a moment about that day and will cherish it forever! God is great and life is good, what else can you say?

July 21, 2008 marks the day that changed our lives forever....we found out we were finally pregnant. After a year of hoping and praying we were finally blessed with our little bean. I remember the day like it was yesterday. We had just decided a few days prior that we would "take a break" and since God has a since of humor, little did we know we were already going to have a baby.
I can honestly say that the past year has been the most amazing experience and I can only hope that the blessings continue. Lyla was born on March 25, 2009 weighin in at 6 pounds, 11 ounces and was 19.25 inches long. She wasn't due until the 29th and we had scheduled an induction for April Fools day. Little did we know, Lyla had plans of her own. After feeling an insatiable urge to clean the house from top to bottom, then acting on it, my water broke! Fabian was on shift at the Fire Department of course. So Lyla's birth story was much like the movies portray. The whole thing was quite cute actually and I am so glad to have the experience of things happening naturally.
Anyway, time flies because she has been with us for 3 months already and I can't imagine what life was like without her. And so the journey continues....and I hope you will join us! =)
